Investigation continues after eight people arrested after woman attacked and held against her will at Dublin apartment

In relation to a brutal attack on a lady at an apartment in Dublin’s north inner city, seven males and an adolescent are being questioned by the Gardaí, reports RTE.

Seated against her will, the thirty-year-old lady suffered severe injuries.

She has serious but non-life-threatening injuries, for which she is receiving medical treatment.

At around 7 p.m. last night, a drug-dealing gang was the subject of a raid by Gardaí on an apartment located off Bolton Street, reports RTE.

In the flat, they discovered the woman in critical condition.

She’d been burned, badly beaten, and had even had some of her hair taken out.

There were eight guys in total—seven adults, ranging in age from twenty to forty-four, and a lad, sixteen.

They are being held at different garda stations after being apprehended, reports RTE.

They can now be questioned for a whole day after their sentences of incarceration were extended today.

The gardaí are aware of them as members of a drug-dealing group based in the north inner city, with ties to Ballymun and Santry, reports RTE.

Investigators from Bridewell Garda Station are looking into it.

The Mater Hospital is where the woman is receiving treatment.

Gardaí suspect that the attack is linked to a drug debt, maybe unrelated to the victim but rather involving one of the woman’s associates, reports RTE.
