Investigation continues after two men arrested after Garda car rammed and multiple vehicles set on fire




Following a public order incident on Saturday morning in Tallaght, when a Garda car was rammed and several vehicles were set on fire, two men have been arrested, reports The Mirror.

Following events involving public order, criminal damage, and hazardous driving between Tallaght, Dublin 24, and the M50 southbound this morning, the two men were placed under custody.

Numerous Garda units were dispatched to incidents in the vicinity of Tallaght’s Brookfield Road. In the vicinity, many cars were set on fire. The situation was managed by the deployment of public order troops. At the time, no injuries were recorded, reports The Mirror.

There was an attempted ramming of an official Garda car during a driving incident.

The car was discovered in the Wicklow region with the help of the Air Support Unit, Public Order Unit, divisional traffic, and various units from the Dublin Metropolitan Region (South and East), reports The Mirror.

Following the event, two males were taken into custody in relation to it. At now, they are being held at a Garda station located in the Dublin region. According to a Gardaí spokeswoman, enquiries are still going on, reports The Mirror.
