An investigation has been launched after a group of twelve migrants were rescued alive from a refrigerated truck in Belgium on Wednesday afternoon.
It is understood that the truck driver himself contacted authorities after realising there were stowaways in his vehicle, which was carrying fruit and vegetables.
The migrants are believed to originate from Syria and Sudan but so far police have not made a direct link to where they originated.
