An 18 year old student from Co Cavan is currently in hospital waiting to undergo major surgery to have her palate repaired after she lost the majority of her teeth after a vicious assault by another woman.
The young woman was brutally attacked after she went on a night out to celebrate her first day at college, it is understood that the young woman lost a significant number of teeth when she was disgracefully attacked by another woman outside a nightclub in Cavan town last Thursday night.
It is believed the young woman’s attacker viciously attacked her inside the nightclub before following her outside to carry on with the assault. The victim who has not been named currently remains in St James’s Hospital where she will undergo the major surgery in the coming days.
Meanwhile a spokesperson for the Gardai have confirmed they are currently investigating the vicious assault on the young woman which reportedly occurred on Cavan Main Street at approximately 2.30am last Thursday night.
