Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation after aviation fuel was stolen from Dublin Airport.
It is understood the investigation comes after the fuel was stolen from an Aer Lingus jet which was under going maintenance in a hanger.
Gardaí say they believe that the fuel was stolen by people who then used it to heat their homes.
The incident is believed to have occurred in December.
