In a tragic incident, a 27-day-old baby died after becoming stuck between sofa cushions after his mother fell sleep.
According to the Daily Mail, when Jessica Feasey woke up she couldn’t see baby Sawyer and discovered him lying on the couch. An investigation has been opened into how the baby died but it will be more than likely deemed a very tragic accident.
She tried desperately to revive him but sadly the baby died. At the post-mortem Ms. Feasey was described as “a caring mother” whose son Sawyer was a “well cared for baby”.
It was advised that infants sleeping with adults on sofas could be at an increased risk.
