On Saturday night, a car struck a fence at the White House, killing the driver; yet, the deadly incident is just being looked at as a “traffic crash,” reports Breaking News.
The president’s mansion was not in danger, according to law police.
The US Secret Service said in a statement that the male driver, who was not immediately recognised, was discovered dead in the car after the collision just before 10.30 p.m. at one of the White House complex’s outer perimeter gates, reports Breaking News.
At the junction of 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, the car struck a security barrier, according to the Washington Metropolitan Police Department.
“At this time, the incident is being investigated only as a traffic crash by MPD’s Major Crash Investigations Unit,” the metro police said in a statement posted on social media, reports Breaking News.
