Investigation underway after electrician dies in house in Dublin




Gardai and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the death of a 50-year-old man who died last night in a workplace accident in Clondalkin, Dublin, reports Independent.

The incident happened at 7.50pm at a premises near Dublin 22.

Although the investigation is in its early stages, one clue in the investigation is that the man was a plumber who was electrocuted at the home while working there.

The man was declared dead on the spot and his body was sent for post-mortem, reports Independent.

An Garda Síochána and the HSA have both confirmed that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

“Gardaí received report of a fatal workplace accident that occurred at a premises in Clondalkin, Co Dublin at approximately 7:50pm yesterday, 5th of October 2023,” reports Independent.

“One man aged in his 50s was pronounced deceased. His body has been removed from the scene and a post-mortem will take place at a later time. The coroner has been notified,” said a statement from An Garda Síochána, reports Independent.
