Police in the North have launched an investigation after a woman was attacked by three armed men in Derry.
It is understood that three men forced their way into a house in the Bloomfield Park area, at approximately 11pm on Thursday night.
Police investigating the incident say the woman who was in the house with three young was punched, kicked, slapped and hit with a hammer during the incident.
They also broke and smashed mirrors and windows at the property.
Officers investigating the incident say the woman was taken to hospital following the incident and the children were left shaken following the incident.
They are appealing for anyone who may have any information to come forward and contact them on 101 quoting reference number 2114 of 26/09/19.
