There was some sad news announced this evening as Gardaí seen Co Meath have confirmed that a paraglider has passed away after a tragic accident in the Gormanston area.
It is believed the unfortunate accident occurred at approximately 6pm yesterday evening. Gardaí say the man aged in his 40s died as a result of extensive injuries he recieved in the accident.
It is thought the paraglider came down after experiencing difficulties at Benn Head near Gormanston army camp.
Gardaí also say an air accident investigation has been launched into the tragic incident.
