On a Holland America cruise ship, two crew members perished following a “incident” in the engineering section, according to the cruise operator, reports Sky.
According to a statement from Holland America, the two passed away on Friday when the Nieuw Amsterdam ship was docked in the Bahamas’ Little Moon Cay island.
The cause is being looked into, and officials have been informed.
Counselling has been made available to other crew members, reports Sky.

It added: “Our thoughts and prayers are with our team members’ families at this difficult time. The safety, security and welfare of all guests and crew are the company’s absolute priority,” reports Sky.
