Dublin pensioner used hammer to cause €10,000 damage to a car over a row about flower pots

A suspended sentence has been imposed on a 67-year-old lady who attacked a man’s car with a hammer after a dispute over flower pots among senior folks, reports Breaking News.

In what Judge Martin Nolan called a “very odd situation,” Bernadette Murphy got into a verbal altercation with another woman, resulting in approximately €10,000 worth of damage to the automobile.

On May 24, 2023, Murphy, of Greenore Court, Dublin 2, entered a guilty plea to one count of criminal damage at a location in Dublin’s city centre, reports Breaking News.

She has never been convicted before.

Murphy and another member of the senior citizen organisation got into a fight in court about a garden area and some flower pots.

The other woman’s father was the one who had the vehicle, reports Breaking News.
