
In Tralee, County Kerry, a road traffic accident has claimed the life of a lady in her 40s and injured three others, including a car driver, reports RTE.
Just before 10 this morning, the woman was one of three runners hit by an SUV on the Canal Road.
The woman was declared deceased after all four were taken by EMS to University Hospital Kerry, reports RTE.
The driver of the car, who is in his 80s, is among the three other people receiving medical attention at the hospital. It is stated that they are steady.
While garda forensic crash investigators examine the area, traffic detours are still in effect.
The events leading up to the deadly incident are being investigated by the Garda, reports RTE.
