An attacker in eastern Germany poured a liquid over a lady on a tram and set her on fire, leaving her in critical condition in the hospital, reports Breaking News.
According to police, the incident in Gera on Sunday left no other people hurt, according to the German news agency dpa.
By pushing an emergency button, passengers were able to halt the tram, which allowed the attacker to escape, reports Breaking News.
The tram driver started putting out the fire right away, and the 46-year-old woman was flown to the hospital.
The attacker is being pursued by the police.
