On Saturday evening, an agricultural tragedy in County Galway claimed the life of a 19-year-old man, reports RTE.
The Oranmore region is where the event took place.
The deceased was reportedly moving from one area of a farm to another as a passenger on a tractor when he collapsed and suffered severe injuries.
Around 5:00 p.m., emergency personnel were called and dispatched to the Moneymore region to offer aid, reports RTE.
After being transported to University Hospital Galway by ambulance, the man was declared deceased upon arrival.
Since it is believed to be a workplace accident, the Health and Safety Authority has stated that it will conduct an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death, reports RTE.
