Gardaí in Waterford City have begun an investigation after three youths were burned in an assault which occurred on Thursday night.
According to The Irish Mirror newspaper, the investigation comes after several youths presented with burn wounds following the incident which occurred at approximately 11pm on the Dunmore Road.
It is not known what was thrown on the youths, but Gardai say they believe it may have been a fluid substance.
Gardaí say an investigation is currently ongoing.
