A tragic plane crash in southern India has left 18 dead and 16 severely injured, Reuters reports.
The Air India Express flight was bringing home Indian citizens stranded in Dubai due to the Covid-19 pandemic and had 190 crew and passengers on board. In heavy rain, the plane overshot the runway of an airport in the city of Kozhikode, splitting the aircraft in half.
Its the worst Indian air tragedy since another Air India flight from Dubai crashed in 2010, killing 158 people.
