Good news for rugby fans, and sports addicts in general, as it has been confirmed today that Ireland’s bid to host the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup has been successful.

Matches for the event will be held in Dublin and Belfast.

Women’s rugby is currently on the rise here in Ireland, with Niamh Briggs leading the women’s team to a Six Nations title earlier this year.

The news of the successful bid have been received with delight around sports circles around the country.
