Ireland has now declared a climate emergency, after the UK did likewise in recent days.
The move comes on foot of a Fianna Fail-led amendment on the recently published Climate Action report.
While all parties agreed that it is a positive step, there’s very little actual action being taken to address climate change, and Ireland has in fact repeatedly missed its carbon emissions targets.
