The airlift contained thousands of blankets, tents, tarpaulins and other essential aid items to assist in the relief effort of the devastated quake zone.
The materials have been provided by Irish Aid, the Government’s programme for overseas aid and development.
More than 7,000 people have died, and over 14,000 were injured in the strongest earthquake to hit the region in over eight decades.
