Ireland have gotten their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign back on track with a easy 4-0 win over Gibraltar.
The win puts Ireland into third place in qualifying group D with a tricky home tie to come against Georgia on Monday Evening. Ireland’s night started off with a welcome result in Tribilsi as the plucky Georgians bet a much favoured Scotland 1-0 earlier. That result prompted Ireland to push on and get a much needed win in Gibraltar and they were made work hard for their opening goal which came on the 28th minute by debutant Cyrus Christie, Ireland went into the break 1-0 up and started the second half much more brightly as man of the moment and ever reliant Robbie Keane scored two more to make it much more comfortable. Shane Long came on to add a fourth late on.
Ireland now take on Georgia on Monday evening in a must win game to keep our qualifying hopes in our own hands
