
GardaĆ have opened an investigation after a man was hospitalised in Limerick following an assault earlier this week.
Officers responded to the incident in the Hyde Road area of Limerick city on Tuesday at around 8.30pm, reports The Mirror.
A man in his 30s was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed that enquiries into the incident are continuing, reports The Mirror.
A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: “GardaĆ received a report of an incident of assault that occurred in the Hyde Road area of Limerick city on Tuesday, 4 November 2025 at approximately 8:30pm. A male in his 30s was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Investigations are ongoing,” reports The Mirror.
