A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital after a serious assault in Drogheda, Co Louth.
Gardaà responded to an incident at a residence on St Laurence Street in the town at 4am Monday morning, reports Breaking News.
A man in his 30s was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where he remains in a critical condition.
Another man, also in his 20s, was arrested at the scene, reports Breaking News.
He is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
