Ireland is in line for another blast of wintry weather, as the Beast from the East weather event approaches inexorably.
Freezing winds from the east will keep temperatures at around 0-1C during the day, with severe cold coming in after dark.
The new cold spell will last until Wednesday at least, with a strong possibility of further snowfalls on high ground.
The weather will remain cold for this time of year in the run up to next week.
