Ireland to experience first winter snap as frost is expected over the weekend




Ireland is set to experience its first spell of winter as temperatures are expected to drop below zero at night over the weekend.

According to Met Eireann some parts of the country will experience temperatures as low as -2C.

Tonight will be a cold night as temperatures are expected to drop single digits, whilst inland areas could drop to as low as -1C.

Meanwhile Saturday will mainly be a dry day with sunny spells throughout, it is expected that temperatures will range between 11 and 15C.

However Saturday night is expected to be another cold night with temperatures in the low single digits and lows of -2C expected in some areas.
