Rishi Sunak says American XL bully dogs will be banned in the UK by the end of the year after a series of attacks, reports Breaking News.

The British prime minister made the pledge after a man died in Birmingham after being attacked by two dogs – believed to be a Bully

Mr Sunak said: “I share the nation’s horror at the recent videos we’ve all seen. Yesterday we saw another suspected XL bully dog attack, which has tragically led to a fatality. It is clear this is not about a handful of badly trained dogs, it’s a pattern of behaviour and it cannot go on,” reports Breaking News.

He said he had instructed ministers to work with police and experts to define the dog breed behind the attacks so that they could be declared illegal.

“We will then ban the breed under the Dangerous Dogs Act and new laws will be in place by the end of the year. These dogs are dangerous, I want to reassure the public that we will take all necessary steps to keep people safe,” he said, reports Breaking News.

Downing Street denies that the British government waited too long to introduce a ban on the breeding of American XL bully dogs.
