Ireland weather map shows precise date temps are to nosedive by 15c after ‘Indian summer’

In the upcoming weeks, Ireland may experience a sharp decline in temperature; according to weather maps, temperatures might drop by 15 degrees Celsius in just six days, reports The Mirror.

The nation is predicted to experience an exceptionally warm Halloween, with daytime highs of 17 degrees Celsius in certain locations on October 31, according to meteorological maps shown on Netweather.tv.

But according to the forecast model, an unexpected cold front may move in on November 6 and drop daytime temperatures to as low as 2C in certain areas.

According to Met Eireann, there will be “a good deal of dry weather with high pressure building” next week, raising expectations for the “Indian summer.” An “Indian summer” is a period of exceptionally hot and dry weather that falls in the autumn and offers a short but pleasant break before winter arrives, reports The Mirror.

Long-range projections, however, point to a change to more normal fall weather as we go into early November. “Temperatures are signalled to be closer to average compared with week 1 perhaps indicating a higher instance of night-time frost,” stated Met Eireann, which is also keeping an eye on this pattern. It is probable that generally settled weather will persist, along with some fog and mist, reports The Mirror.

A weather warning has been issued for County Donegal in the meantime. With a Status Yellow rain notice in effect from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Sunday, there is a chance of localised flooding due to the continuous and occasionally heavy rain.

Its nationwide forecast for today reads: “Turning cloudier as outbreaks of rain in the west become more widespread through the morning and afternoon, heaviest in the west and northwest with spot flooding in places. The rain will become lighter and patchier from most places in the evening. Highest afternoon temperatures of 8C to 13C with moderate to fresh south to southwest winds developing. Mild and cloudy overnight with further outbreaks of rain at times, easing towards morning. Temperatures will not fall below 10C to 13C with southwesterly winds decreasing light to moderate allowing mist and fog patches to develop,” reports The Mirror.
