Ireland’s final Six Nations match against France has been postponed

Ireland’s final Six Nations match against France has been postponed it has been confirmed.

In an announcement made today the French Sports Minister Roxana Maracineanu, confirmed that Saturday’s match in Paris will not go ahead as planned.

It is understood the match was cancelled following a meeting with the French Rugby Federation and tournament organisers.

The cancellation which comes as a result of the spread COVID-19 virus, has cast doubt over the final outcome of the tournament as Ireland will not have played two matches and England will not play Italy this weekend.

It is not yet known whether the final fixtures will be played at a later date, although it is expected that the match between Scotland and Wales will go ahead on Saturday.
