Irish authorities are reiterating their warning for holidaymakers heading to Portugal, as temperatures of up to 43C and beyond are forecast for the next week.

Weather charts show a band of hot air pushing temperatures up to 45C in some regions. Average temperatures around the country will be high 30s and low 40s.

The warning will remain in place from Monday 11th to Friday 15th.
