The Irish branch of the international anti-Islam group Pegida will be formally launched at a rally in Dublin next weekend.
Pegida, which stands for Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the Occident (in German), was originally founded in Germany. It has made headlines in the recent past after its members appeared at several rallies across Europe. Ireland will be the 15th where the organization will have an official presence.
The ideology behind the group stands for the anti-Islamisation of the West, and it’s warning of the dangers of mass, uncontrolled immigration from Islamic communities.
Peter O’Loughlin of Identity Ireland has confirmed that Pegida Ireland would be unveiled at a rally in Dublin on February 6th. He said: (Pegida) “Is giving the people of Europe a chance to speak out and have a voice against the absolutely disastrous policies of the EU and of the German government and the various puppet governments around Europe.”
“We have polarised communities, we have segregated communities, we have Islamic ghettoes – we have an epidemic of jihad rape gangs targeting English girls . . . these are the realities which are on their way to Ireland.”
Next weekend’s rally will coincide with several other anti-Islamic events organized by the group across Europe.
