An Irish citizen has been listed among the survivors of the White Island volcano eruption.
The person, named as 26-year-old Eimear Doyle from Co. Wexford, is one of the lucky few who escaped injury after the sudden volcanic explosion on Monday.
Six people are now confirmed dead, and eight others remain missing and presumed dead as rescue efforts continue.
