Michael Valentine ‘Val’ Doonican sadly passed away yesterday evening at the age of 88.
Among many other achievements, he hosted The Val Doonican TV show between 1965 and 1986, and had five successive Top 10 albums in the UK Album Chart in the 60s.
He is survived by his wife Lynn, daughters Sarah and Fiona and grandchildren Bethany and Scott.
