Irish entrepreneur expands sunglasses business by launching brand in Australia

Back in Easter The Liberal took a look at Crann, the Irish Sustainable sunglass and watch brand  that is the brainchild of Irish Entrepreneur Eoin McGuinness. Now, 6 months later, the success of the Irish brand is moving forward with Crann opening an office in Australia.

Crann create stylish sunglasses and watches from sustainable materials including recycled plastic and wood that would otherwise go to landfill or end up in our oceans. These materials get reused and reimagined into Crann’s sunglasses and watch collection.

“Recycling materials can reduce the consumption of new waste materials, reduce energy usage and ultimately reduce pollution,” says Eoin.

The entire product range offered by Crann is an ode to Irish culture and traditions. Crann is the Irish word for tree and so each product carries a unique Irish name that holds a personal significance to Crann Founder Eoin McGuinness and his team.

With Crann launching a new range of wood and metal with names related to Entrepreneurship as well a new acetate and wood sunglass range this small Irish Sustainable fashion brand is tacking the big names with some high quality products that don’t cost the earth or you pocket.

“We are all excited to be launching in Australia as well as the new ranges we really hope to make Crann a household name when it comes to sustainable fashion.”
