Irish hospitals see highest number waiting on a bed with 221 patients on trolleys




Irish hospitals has seen its worst day since March as there were 221 people waiting on trolleys.

According to latest figures published the INMO there were 221 patients waiting on a bed on Wednesday.

The figures which have been described as worrying saw Cork University Hospital being the worst affected with 50 patients on trolleys.

Meabwhile there were 41 patients waiting on a bed at University Hospital Limerick.

The latest figures has caused great concern as hospitals prepare for the upcoming flu season as well as the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
