Irish mother starts fundraising campaign in last ditch effort to help her beautiful son who has brain damage

A mother fundraising for her sick son so he can attain the help he desperately needs was left astonished after receiving a €10,000 from none other than the UFC World Champion Conor McGregor.

Grainne McCullough’s Son, Bru, suffered brain damage in 2017 from sepsis and has had serious neurological issues since.

Bru lost his ability to walk and also has cerebral palsy which causes him to almost choke every time he eats but has received little to no help from the government and his mother’s pleas to the Taoiseach and Minister for Health for help have fallen on deaf ears.

Bru’s health has significantly improved since 2017 as he has gained weight and can be nourished which was a major problem for Bru due to his difficulties swallowing food.

It was the donation from Mr McGregor that made a feeding tube for Bru possible after he stepped in to help the child when the government and health system failed so pitifully.

Now Bru’s mother has found a paediatric neurologist in the UK who is willing to help her child but as this is private health care Bru requires more fundraising.

As Bru’s brain is still developing time is of the essence in getting him the help he needs and it is his mothers plea that the people of Ireland will take up the mantle that this government has so shamefully dropped.

If you want to donate to Bru’s cause, you can do so on his GoFundMe page here.
