An Irish national, believed to be a 40-year-old man, has passed away following a swimming accident in Spain.
The deceased’s body was spotted floating in the water in the Albufereta beach in Alicante on Thursday. Paramedics could only certify the death.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
