The great energy rip-off continues alive and well in Ireland, as Electric Ireland has announced its second price increase this year.
The second round of price hikes, effective from November 1, will see electricity prices rise by 9.3% and gas by 7%.
This year, customers will be forking out around €208 more for their electricity and €120 more for their gas.
