Irish people may have to vote again sooner rather than later, according to Fine Gael

The notion that citizens may have to head back to the polling stations in the near future has been bandied around at the first meeting held between Fine Gael TDs and Senators since the General Election.

In fact, it was Michael Noonan who made the suggestion, saying that he would envisage an ‘early to mid-term election.’

Meanwhile, embattled Taoiseach Enda Kenny is said to be in talks with Independents in an effort to form a government.
