There will be a total of 360 jobs created in the prison service over the next three years.
The new jobs which will be created as part of a recruitment campaign for the Irish Prison Service was recently announced by Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality, Frances Fitzgerald TD.
It is believed the Prison Service will higher up to 120 Prison Officers per year for the next three years, with new recruits expected to enter the Irish Prison Service College in early 2017.
The Irish Prison Service have said anyone interested in joining as a Recruit Prison Officer should access the website of the Public Appointments Service and submit their application at publicjobs.ie.
