An Irish regulator has slapped WhatsApp with a €225m fine over data sharing violations.
The Data Protection Commission (DPC) issued the record fine following an investigation into WhatsApp’s data-sharing practices with other third parties also owned by Facebook.
The fine is the second-largest ever handed down by the DPC.
