
This action could affect up to 500 secondary schools across the country, causing 250,000 secondary school students to remain in their homes.
The ASTI (Association of Secondary Teacher’s Ireland) have announced they will increase their levels of resistance against these Junior Cert changes.
TUI (The Teachers’ Union of Ireland) have actually signed up for the new Junior Cert and the teachers involved with this union are being trained using the new curriculum.
Strike action is due to take place this week according to members of the ASTI.
