The first week of Irish summer is here, as temperatures are set to soar to 27C across parts of the midlands and western areas today. Met Eireann says that it will be a dry and bright day overall in most of the country.
And the good news is that the pleasant weather is set to last throughout the Bank Holiday weekend and into Monday, with afternoon temperatures topping 25C.
Early indications show that the weather might turn unsettled by Tuesday, but it will remain mild.
