Much-maligned utility Irish Water has been issued with a paltry €1.5k fine after sewage seeped into a marina area in Dublin.
The problem occurred on April 28 of last year, after a pump malfunction at a treatment plant meant that some tanks overflowed and spilled foul water into Malahide Marina.
An estimated 6,700 cubic metres of sewage ended up in the waters at the marina.
