True to its second-to-none wasteful nature, Irish Water is reportedly splashing out €100k to change its name to Uisce Éireann. No particularly compelling reason has been provided for the move.
This involves changing all its stationery, vehicle markings, safety vests, and every single item where the logo appears.
The inception of Irish Water caused widespread social unrest and massive backlash back in 2015 after the Government of the time unwisely attempted to introduce a water charge.
