An Irish Water worker who accidentally wandered into farmland at Ardee, Co. Louth was allegedly confronted by a man wielding a firearm. Nobody was injured during the incident, which took place on October 28 last.
The firearm was seized, and Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
No arrests have been made.
