Dublin Solicitor Cora Sherlock has said she is “delighted and honoured” to have been chosen by the BBC as one of their “100 women of 2014”.
The project, which is in its second year, aims to promote the voices of women from all over the world, leading debates on various issues affecting women. This year’s group includes entrepreneurs, celebrities, scientists and activists.
Ms. Sherlock is the Deputy Chairperson of the Pro Life Campaign here in Ireland and says that the BBC’s project is very exciting:-
“Given the abuses of women’s rights throughout many parts of the world, it’s very encouraging to see an organisation like the BBC giving a platform for women to come together and discuss their views on a wide range of issues.”
The online debates can be followed on Twitter using the hashtags #100women and #100women2014.
