Irishman facing a total of 400 sexual offence charges has extradition hearing adjourned




An Irishman who was arrested in New York in connection with historic sexual offences in Ireland has had his hearing adjourned after requesting postponement.

The man who moved to New York back in 2013 is wanted in connection with a number of sexual offences which are believed to have between 2004 and 2009.

It is understood the man is facing a total of 394 charges including 177 charges of rape and 210 counts of sexual assault.

The man who is known to have worked at GAA grounds in the Midlands is due to appear in court next week and he has been remanded in custody of the United States Marshals Service.
