The Irishman shot dead in Majorca last night has been identified as Dublin City Council worker Trevor O’Neill, 40.
He was killed in an apparent ganglang hit in a case of mistaken identity, as he may resemble someone associated with the Hutch gang.
The innocent man was shot four times in front of his wife, children, and other relatives while on holidays in Majorca. Tragically for him, the real target is understood to have been staying in the same apartment complex, and their identities were mixed, with a deadly outcome.
Mr. O’Neill was the father to two girls and one boy. The children witnessed the cold-blood act as they were present at the time of the assassination.
Local authorities are hunting for up to three men thought to have been involved in the shooting.
