Qatar Airways jet forced to make emergency landing at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport after engine catches fire

Flight QR240, a Qatar Airways Airbus 330, was forced to return to airport and make an emergency landing after one of its engines caught fire shortly after take-off.

The jet had just departed Istanbul’s Ataturk airport, bound for Doha, when the crew declared an emergency.

The plane landed safely back and all passengers disembarked normally.

There are no reports of any personal injuries.
