A 30-year-old Irishman has been shot dead in the Costa del Sol, Spain. He was shot dead in broad daylight in a gated estate in Miraflores near the resorts of Marbella and Fuengirola
The victim has yet to be named. The gunman quickly left the scene in a car which was later found abandoned outside a nearby restaurant. Local Civil Guard officers have launched an investigation into the shooting.
The lifeguard at the complex said “I know he’s Irish because I’ve spoken to him and I’ve seen his identity documents. I was the one who identified him. He lives in a ground-floor flat but I don’t know his name or much about him. He’s very reserved. The gunman was masked and wore gloves. He started shooting in the garage before chasing his victim out into the swimming pool.”
